Brush Pickup

The Village has brush pickup the first full work week of each month April – November weather permitting.

GUIDELINES FOR BRUSH PICKUP
Whole trees and grass will not be accepted.

The maximum length of branches is 8 feet and the maximum diameter is 10 inches.  

Brush trimmings and twigs should be placed in PAPER  bags.  

Do not stack brush around power poles or fences.

The Pickup Schedule:
Brush pickup will begin on the south side of town and proceed north through town.  All brush to be picked up should be put out by Sunday night.  

The following items are not accepted and will not be picked up:
Whole Trees
Grass
Plastic Bags

PICKUPS FOR 2017 ARE SCHEDULED** FOR THE FOLLOWING WEEKS:

April 3rd - 7th  
May 1st - 5th  
June 5th - 9th  
July 10th - 14th  
August 7th - 11th  
September 11th - 15th 
October 2nd - 6th  
November 6th - 10th

THERE WILL BE NO DECEMBER PICKUPS THIS YEAR!!!

**Sometimes (rarely -  but it does happen) it is necessary to change the dates of the pickups so check back each month to make sure the dates haven’t been changed.  

LEAF PICK-UP

October 16th - December 8th, 2017

 On a weekly basis rake your leaves to the curb and the Village Public Works Department will come by and use the vacuum on them. Do Not bag your leaves or they will not be picked up.  The vacuuming will be until December 8th weather permitting.  

Boy Scout Troop 40 will coordinate leaf raking and snow removal for Seniors contact

If you have landscape waste that the Village will not pickup check with the Landscape Recycling Center @ 1210 E University Avenue in Urbana.  The phone number is 344-5323.


WANT TO DONATE A TREE?

Now is your chance.  You can purchase a tree for the new Community Park.  The Village will purchase a marker for your name or message.  

I will have a map with the location and types of trees so you can make your selection
